During my final semester of university, I developed an interest in the relationship between input and output within AI-based text-to-image tools and how they mutually influence each other. While there was considerable discourse regarding biased datasets, I encountered a lack of definitive information concerning the actual contents and origins of the data. Consequently, I did some research of my own. After collecting extensive data and tracing its sources, I sought a creative medium through which to convey my findings in a playful way. This led me to choose a Scrollytelling Website as the platform for my exploration, incorporating the German phrase „Du bist was du isst“ („You are what you eat“) as a metaphorical gateway for my design.
The result is a narrative centered around the AI buffet and its patrons, exploring the dishes it serves and the repercussions of a diet lacking diversity.
